Wilier was founded by Pietro Dal Molin in Bassano del Grappa, Italy, under the name Wilier, which stands for “W l’Italia liberata e redenta”, meaning “Long live Italy, liberated and redeemed.” The brand added “Triestina” to symbolize its support for the return of the city of Trieste to Italy after World War II. Over the years, Wilier has remained a family-run business and has become synonymous with Italian cycling heritage.
