A stunning Colnago V4RS built with the outrageously crisp and clean Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 groupset, factory installed 4iiii power meter. Selle Italia Carbonio SLR saddle, the feathery light Ere Research Genus SL30-R wheelset, Pirelli P-Zero Retro white walled rubber, 30mm wide and down the tubeless route. For the weight weenies among us, this tips the scales, bottle cages and pedals included at 7.1kg.
The V4RS is Colnago’s true race machine. The C68 might be more money, but this has all the tech and development behind it. The weight we have previously mentioned, she’s light, nothing on show makes it aero. We like the versatility with still being able to select a handlebar and not being ties into Colnago’s own CC.01 bar. The Vision Metron’s fitted to this one were easy enough to hose up, the exit holes were large enough to fit more cables should it be required. To add to that also, when buying the bars, you get the out front mount with it, no extra hidden costs! BONUS!
The ride itself, although just round the car park, it felt “stable, confidence inspiring, immediate and sharp.” A man of many words the mechanic that built it! But that’s not all it has, the ability to run that broader tyre means comfort isn’t an issue either! Whats even better, you can go to a 32mm tyre should you wish!
