Now in Store is wearable tech and headunit’s from Coros.
Being a specific bike shop, the big one for us is the Dura head unit. All the tech of many of the other, probably bigger names, at a more accessible price point. Battery life is enormous! A solar panel above the screen offers up to an extra 2 hours of battery life per hour of solar charging. Whats even better is it offer 120 hours of battery life with GPS support as standard. Thats some epic miles before charging!
Mapping and routing is powered by Google maps. For those of you who delve deep into the training metrics, you are covered also. In built training plans from the app, FTP tests, workouts and training load scores all can be at your fingertips!
The newer ones for us are the wearable tech, watches. We currently have the Pace 3 and the Apex 2 Pro.
The first thing you notice with the Pace 3 is how light it is. Its mad, mad light! So for those weight weenies among you its ticking boxes already! This doesn’t mean it isn’t packed full of the usual features. Running metircs, swimming metrics and day to day info. Sleep, heart rate, recovery and anything else you want. Pace 3 will tick most boxes for most people. Even the big boys like Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Eliud Kipchoge use this model!
The Apex 2 Pro is designed for performance over all types of terrain, the APEX 2 Pro GPS Outdoor Watch is built with revolutionary technologies for your most ambitious goals. Basically, if you get lost using this thing you’ve probably ended up in Narnia or the Matrix!
For the triathletes out there, it, like most wearables, this will do pool or open water swimming and is waterproof to 50m, offers all the metrics swimmers could want such as stroke rate, distance and the usual gubbins. Once a pool length is set its very accurate for tracking as it connects to all 5 major satelite systems. Its all black magic, but whatever it doesn’t do, isn’t worth knowing!! Although I’m being flippant, if you want any info on it give us a shout and one of us can go through it all with you.
Along with the tech, we carry the foot pod for even more detailed and accurate readings during your run, heart rate monitors and speed sensors for the bike side of things. Whats more, although we don’t keep it, you can accessories all the toys with different wrist bands to meet any occasion! What is it the kids say these days, “For when you have a marathon at 9am and a wedding at 3pm!”?
