We first launched our shop in the heart of Bideford, back in February 2012 under the previous owner Malcolm Butler, who is well known in the bike trade. Since 2012 we have worked hard to develop, and expand the business and shop and gained a reputable name for selling quality products and bike services. As a result of our success, we extended the upstairs in 2020 to stock our premium range of high-end bikes and ebikes, while downstairs we use as a workshop and stock a variety of accessories, nutrition foods and P&A. The shop itself was started in February 2012 by bike trade veteran Malcolm Butler and then continued by Craig Bellew in April 2018. The shop has had plenty of layout changes, which became a bit of a running joke among regular customers, and then expanded in 2020 with the 2nd floor showroom being added to display the main concept of the store, road bikes. With the second floor being added it brought about a whole new feel to the shop.
Downstairs is the beating heart, the work horse of all bike shops, the workshop. An open-plan layout means we can chat and see what’s going on while a bike is being serviced. Upstairs, however, showcases some of the best bikes the world has to offer. Iconic Dogmas and collectable C series from Ernesto himself. Some of our own bikes may be lurking among the flotilla of carbon loveliness.
Whether it’s off the shelf, or stock from the showroom, all our bikes start with a static fit using Shimano’s bike fitting platform, bikefitting.com. This ensures the synergy between bike and rider is all at one. Let’s be honest, bike riding is hard enough without making it any harder and neglecting one of the most important parts, the fit. Appointments are ideally booked in advance so we can have the time to discuss how to finish your potential dream build and tailor it to suit, and yes, before we are asked, this is INCLUDED in the price of the bike.
It’s not all we are about though, road, hybrid, electric and a smattering of mountain bikes can all be found inside Scuderia and if it can’t be found in store, we can always get it for you.

“I’m and engineer you know!” He’ll make something to fix it. The shop’s IT department and Zwift extraordinaire. There isn’t a place this chap couldn’t set up Zwift! Middle of the outback, no signal, no power, NO WORRIES! Strictly speaking not a local, but we will let him off as he has jumped into Devon life and chews the straw as well as anyone! Slips into a midland rant every now and then but just switch off if that happens! For the local loops will know the best pub and what’s on tap before walking through the door!

Basically, makes up the numbers! Former racer living off (very few) past glories. Now slightly overweight dad of two who wouldn’t know what else to do! Loves the trade and is at home yapping carbon dream builds and bike fits. Occasionally rides a bike and supplies the caffeine to the guys and girls.

Juggles the numbers and keeps us chaps in order. Tells us what we can’t afford, and we buy it anyway. A stickler for all things HR and Health and Safety! Too organised for the chaps and knows what’s happening before it’s happened and even when not there! Fairly new to the trade, although always been around bikes, it’s ultimately determined by the colour!
