Cycles Scuderia, Specialist Bike Shop, Bideford, North Devon

Bike Shop BidefordCycles Scuderia is owned and run by Malcolm Butler, a veteran of the cycle trade who’s involvement within the world of bike shops goes back to 1979. In the intervening 30 plus years he’s had a go at every facet of road based cycling. From racing, commuting, wheel and frame building to retail, import and wholesale.

Together with the previous ownership of Cycles Dauphin, he’s uniquely qualified to advise on all aspects of modern road cycling. As with all committed cycling cognoscenti, The pull of creating another bike business is very much a vocational choice rather than a shrewd business move. So, after some fruitless stabs at doing something sensible, the only option was to get back to what we know best!

We are sited on the Pill, close to the Quay in sleepy Bideford, North Devon.  As the only specialist road Bike shop in the South West, We keep an inspirational range of some of the best brands available including Pinarello, Boardman Elite, Enigma, Orro, and Mekk. Together with Ridgeback Hybrids, we carry a large range range of bikes, bike accessories and clothing to fit all needs, budgets and tastes.

The Team

Malcolm

Has spent a lifetime in, and around bikes and bike shops. Fortunate to have rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest names in cycling from the past 35 years & could have been a contender if it wasn’t for a lack of talent and low pain threshold. In his mind he’s still a racer, the reality, unfortunately is a little different.  Has built thousands of wheels and performed many hundreds of bike fits

Craig

Also in possession of a degree in exercise and physical activity, Craig is our newest recruit.  With years of experience and several full seasons of National Road Racing under his belt, he knows what’s needed to race at the highest  levels.  All this hard won knowledge can help guide you to the right choice of bikes and accessories.   Makes us all feel very old and owns possibly the smallest dog in North Devon.
